Britpop was an alternative rock genre of the 1990s UK, generally a response to the grunge invasion from the US, less a response to the Madchester, shoegazing and indie rock scenes of the time. It was usually less harsh and more introspective than grunge with emphasis on facets of uniquely British life.
Despite the name it has little to do with pop music, although some Britpop bands tended to experiment with pop rock.
I didn't find a stamp for it so I created my own lol and I couldn't fit in every britpop band BAWWW
this stamp was the starting point of you sending me a manics song
which i think was motorcycle emptiness, but i couldn't open it so i watched the video. i was like "yeah, that sounds like it would make the charts etc. i think it's alright. ooh i spy a pretty little fucker!!"
then you were like
"you must be talking about richey."
LOL
then you sent me some songs from thb
i remember being enthralled simply from hearing a couple of seconds of the music alone.
and then shit hit the fan from there! i don't even remember who i was past last december! (then again i tend to forget everything i say after like an hour.)
yet i wonder if this stamp is to blame, because you probably would have had a dozen of other methods to BRAINWASH ME WITH.
in any case, i am going to fave it because ABANANS.

As of September 2009 =ImaginaryRosse joined the project and will be helping us out with the weekly choices. While things have changed over time, the essence of the newsletter is still the same. As of recent, the talented =Behana has joined us in bringing you this weekly newsletter and we are excited to have her on board. This is a special feature, with a selection of 50 manips from the past year that we loved.
